BMO Real Estate Partners has purchased the Tafelhofpalais in Nuremberg. The acquisition was made for an investment company with German institutional investors. Seller is the Munich-based real estate developer Hubert Haupt (Hubert Haupt Immobilien Holding e.K.).
On the site of the former main post office in the immediate neighborhood of the main station, two towers with 10 and 15 upper floors respectively as well as two wing buildings with 7 upper floors each will be built on the Bahnhofsplatz 1 by summer 2021. A landmarked rotunda alongside Allersberger Straße complements the ensemble. A two-storey underground car park with 117 parking spaces connects the bulidings with each. The 50,000 sqm leasable space is already almost fully rent even before its completion. About two thirds of the space in the new buildings is used for hotels with Motel One as well as Leonardo Royal as anchor tenants. Additionally, there will be modern equipped office space in the completely renovated old building, which will be used by Design Offices, one of the leading provider for flexible workspace. On the ground floor, commercial space will be created including the Deutsche Post as well as Postbank as main tenants. The project developer and BMO Real Estate Partners Germany are aiming for LEED Gold certification for the new building.
