The Hamburg-based and nationwide operating MOMENI Group and its joint venture partner Black Horse Investments have sold the SPRINGER QUARTIER in Hamburg to an occupational pension fund company from Hanover as part of a forward deal. The company plans to keep the property in its portfolio on a long-term basis.
The buyers are the doctors' pension funds of Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the veterinarians' pension fund of Lower Saxony, and the tax consultants' pension fund of Lower Saxony.
The sale of the SPRINGER QUARTIER is the largest single property transaction ever closed in Hamburg. The parties have agreed to keep the sales price confidential.
In 2015 MOMENI bought the property from the Axel Springer SE and developed the so-called SPRINGER QUARTIER, which will be completed by 2020. The project development of the prominent area, that is located on a prime city-center location, only a few metres from Hohen Bleichen, comprises the refurbishment of the 14-storey landmarked high rise as well as of the new construction complex of 60,000 sqm GFA.
Both, Axel Springer SE and KPMG AG have signed long term rental contracts for a significant part of the rental area.
Hamburg Sparkasse (HASPA) provided the financing.
